Description
Make the greatest love story of all time approachable for your students, who might be reading Shakespeare for the first time. This Romeo and Juliet and Shakespeare Bundle combines my Romeo and Juliet Comic Summaries and Activities and the Intro to Shakespeare Activity Bundle.
The Romeo and Juliet set includes summaries of each act. When I teach Romeo and Juliet, I don't like summaries that are too long or give too much away. These summaries not only provide a good visual reference point for each act but they are also fun. I have included Easter eggs in each panel using metaphors from the play that the students have to find.
Also, after each comic is a warm up activity that gets students actively engaged in the play. Perfect to supplement your current Romeo and Juliet lesson plans.
In addition, I have added my Intro to Shakespeare Activity Bundle. There's a comic the introduces the life and times of the Bard and introduces students to the ins and outs of his language. There's a comic introduction to iambic pentameter as well as an activity with Sonnet 18 in case you want to give students a taste of Shakespeare before you dive into the play. Students can even write their own sonnets!
