SMARTBoard Game Show Systems of Equations

Based on the game Jeopardy, here's a SMARTBoard Game Show you can play to review systems of equations. It's simple to play and ready to go!

All problems are shown in the preview.

Suggestion for Play:

I have read a lot of different game play ideas from other teachers, but this method seems to be the best for keeping all students engaged -

-Divide the kids into groups of 4 or so

-Give each group a whiteboard and a marker

-Pick a random student to choose the category and the dollar amount (use sticks or a randomizer)

-Instruct students to work the problems independently, then come together to agree on a final answer

-Write the final answer on the whiteboard

-Tell the kids not to show their final answer until you say, "Go"

-Any team that has the correct answer gets the points

-Personally, I wouldn't subtract points for incorrect answers

-You could also offer bonus points if someone is willing to explain how they got their correct answer
