Description
STAR-SPANGLED BANNER
IN ASL
American Sign Language (ASL) is conceptual, so the words to the Star-spangled Banner are written on the left side of the page and the translation into ASL syntax appears on the right. There is no one right way to sign a song, but this version is a strong one from the sense that the signs were chosen for their meaning. It is not completely in “true” ASL syntax but has been adapted to fit the rhythm of the music while someone is audibly singing it.
Hand-drawn illustrations as well as word explanations for each sign are included.
