What educators are saying

I loved this resource! I used it for my 7th grade STEAM class. They researched and designed state floats and we went on a parade to the elementary school to show them off. It was a very engaging assignment!
Excited to use this as an extension of the US states unit my gifted 3rd graders did! We will program our Dash Robots to guide the floats through our parade route!

Description

United States Research made fun! STEM State Floats United States Research Project & Lapbook Connecting STEM is a project based activity where students research and compare states. The packet contains comparison organizers and state shapes to help students organize their research. Students learn important facts about their state, such as the agriculture and industries of the state. A state lap book can also be used to collect facts about their states. The ending activity is a STEM project were students construct a state float. Students design and create a float that will represent the state that they researched. Students then share what the learned with their peers as they parade their floats around the classroom.
