    Description

CAN YOUR STUDENT TELL YOU WHEN THEY ARE SICK OR IN PAIN ?? CAN THEY COMMUNICATE WHAT BODY PART(S) ARE HURTING ??

Support your limited verbal communicators or non-verbal communicators in expressing when they feel sick, are hurt, and what body parts hurt.

    What does this bundle include?

    • 50+ task cards with sentence strips, visuals of people (real & cartoon) who are sick, visuals of people (real & cartoon) who are experiencing pain in various body parts, and customizable task cards to add pictures of your student and those in their social circle
    • Additional materials for learning body parts are also included
    • "I feel sick. My _____ hurts." Core board that includes sick, hurt, and 14 core body parts.

Designed by a real-life SLP, for a real-life student! I created this resource after a nonverbal student experienced a ruptured appendix but was unable to communicate that he was in pain and what was hurting. This resource has helped me, parents, and teachers, when supporting students' knowledge of body parts, pain, and sickness. I have found success with AAC users and non-AAC users.

The icons used are from the LAMP Words for Life programming.
