Secret Kindness Agents (S.K.A)
Description
SECRET KINDNESS AGENTS:
The concept of Secret Kindness Agents (S.K.A.) was developed by Dr. Feral Pearson.
It is based on the book Secret Kindness Agents: How Small Acts of Kindness Really Can Change the World.
Have students choose a fun anonymous S.K.A. name (e.g., Chocolate Chip Cookie, aka Triple C) and have them think about small acts of kindness that they can do.
The acts of kindness should come from them!
Positive affirmation cards are definitely a fun way to get started!
Talk to your kids about the "helper's high" and how kindness is not only good for others - but also good for them.
Please note: For educators, Dr. Feral Pearson also came out with an educator's guide that discusses how educational professionals have implemented the Secret Kindness Agent project from preschool through university levels.
