Sentence Edit - Using Capital Letters Smartboard - This SMART Board Unit is sequential in nature. The easiest skills are introduced first with 5 samples each. Matching Worksheets in PDF format can be found on the Attachment Tab. There is a double-sided worksheet for each separate lesson. Students can practice writing each sentence on their individual matching copy while someone demonstrates on the SMART Board. An additional sentence is included on each worksheet for students to create their own sentence using the new skill independently.

Each section stands alone, so feel free to do only the sections your class is ready for. There are six separate Capitalization Lessons included in this SMART Board Unit - 1st word of the sentence - the pronoun I - 1st letter of Names and Titles - Days, Months, and Holidays - Names of special Places or Brands - and Speaker's 1st word. A PDF version of a full-color poster is included listing all 6 rules. A double-sided assessment is also provided to determine mastery of all six Capitalization skills.

This Unit is aligned to Common Core standards for Language Arts and is suitable for grades K-4.
