Description

Sentence practice activities in grammar books are frustrating because they often do not represent the mistakes students make in their writing. This is the third in a series of guided practice presentations that show real errors--comma splices and fused sentences primarily.

This presentation consists of thirty slides, and is offered as a PowerPoint and a Prezi, and both are available in the zip file. Just save them to your computer, and you can use the one that's right for your classes. There is a title and instructions screen followed by thirteen groups of words. After your students determine if each group is a complete sentence, run-on or a fragment, you can go over the answers on the last thirteen slides. The animation on the slides is set up where you can reveal the group of words, the answer, and the fix-up sentence separately.

Although the Prezi is not editable, the PowerPoint's basic format allows you to make changes for your students.

This product is part of a bundle that contains four presentations very similar to this one. You can view it here: Sentence, Run-On, or Fragment? PowerPoint Bundle
