Description

Build your kindergarten students' confidence and fluency with these sentence strips. Each sentence strip uses common sight words and ends with a CVC word (for example, I can see a cat.) Pictures on each card provide students with clues. The strips also teach your students the concepts of print. Each sentence strip has an arrow showing directionality for emergent readers. A yellow dot under each word encourages one to one correspondence. They are ideal for whole group instruction or literacy centers.

How to use this product:

  • Print and laminate the sentence strips with the sight words you want to target.
  • Cut each into an individual sentence strip.
  • Distribute to students, encouraging them to use 1:1 correspondence and the picture clues.
