What educators are saying
This was a great product to use during 9/11. It helped reinforce the concept and my kids enjoyed making the craft.
This was a perfect craft for Patriot Day. We focused on the heroes of the day so the blank writing space was ideal for creating our own sentences!
Description
This is a simple craft that the students can make to honor the heroes on September 11th. We talked about it as a group, read the book September 12th We Knew Everything Would Be Alright, and then talked about heroes.
Option 1: Print the first page, they will write what a hero is to them then color
Option 2: print pages 2-3 and have them assemble the craft and color
They have to write their own sentence explaining what a hero is to them, color the flag, and cut and glue the twin towers on. They picked which color background they want and glued it on to the colored paper.
