Description

Shades of Meaning with Pictures Adjective and Adverbs PowerPoint Game

1st and 2nd Grade Grammar Quiz with 20 Questions

This PowerPoint reviews some adjectives and verbs that seem alike but have differences in meaning. Some verbs and adjectives are stronger in meaning than others.

How to play: each question shows 3 pictures with a word bank of 3 words. The student must match each word with each picture. The best way to do this is to write them down from left to right on a piece of paper or a mini whiteboard.

This game can be used to enrich your students’ understanding of shades of meaning.

Feel free to use this as a review, assessment, or test prep.

Aligned to L.1.5d
