Description
Do you want to promote curiosity, reflection, perspective-taking and discussion in your classroom? If you are a teacher interested in dynamic, though-provoking content for your students, look no further. This is a spreadsheet with links to short films that can be viewed online for free. These films are excellent resources for "brain breaks", writing prompts, community blocks/advisories, discussions/debates and for SEL exploration. Perfect for substitutes, ELA/Social Studies/Humanities teachers, and anyone looking to promote curiosity and expand horizons!
Please be aware that films can bring up images and themes that inherently may be challenging, unpredictable or emotional. Before playing any film in class, please watch the entirety of the film in order to assess it's appropriateness for your students. These films are not necessarily created for students but have been selected because they are engaging and provide opportunities for insight, reflection and curiosity across a range of themes and perspectives.
