What educators are saying

This is an excellent practice for sight words and syllables. The students enjoyed the activity and were very angaged.

Description

These differentiated sight word practice activities support high frequency word mastery during ELA stations. This pack is perfect for teachers with students at vastly different levels who still want to do literacy centers. The sight word activities have students sort Dolch high frequency words based on the number of syllables, vowels, or letters in each word. Then students complete a simple bar graph using the data. Simple, but effective, for practicing sight word fluency, syllabication, and graphing!

Students can work at their own level using the 1st-3rd grade Dolch words but can all be working on a similar task, making providing direction and support easy.

Your download includes:

✔ 3 Sets of Sight Word Sort Headers (Syllables, Vowels, and Number of Letters)

✔ High Frequency Word Cards (taken from the Dolch lists) - color & backline

  • 1st grade sight word cards
  • 2nd grade sight word cards
