Description
You are sent off into the wild with limited supplies. You have to stay quite a few days, and sometimes need to travel across water to get to new destinations. How can you create a solution to help you cross the river safely? By going through the Engineering Design Process, you’ll explore safe water traveling techniques and designs, explore how different materials float and sink, plan and build a prototype, make modifications to your prototype, and share final design.
This is one of 6 units I taught in my K-5 STEM classroom; properly named 'STEM Survival Camp'.
