Description
Set includes 60 communication topics for students to talk about. Know that some students will be able to give vivid details and have a lot to say while others may only be able to use one sentence. Monitor the room during play and offer help to struggling students. Positive comments and modeling will help encourage students to continue playing the game.
The last page is blank. You can use to give one student a card to fill out with a topic or have students write an entire page. Blank pages can also be used for unit review. Assign one page to each student to be completed as homework. Students review what they have learned in the unit while setting the game up for play the next day. Mix cards up and place students in groups to play the game with the student-made topics. Make copies as needed for your plans.
The game can be played at the end of each unit or at the end of the term for review and preparation for the final exam. Feel free to remove or add topics so communication matches what students are learning or have learned and practiced.
