Small Group Reader's Theater Twisted Fairy Tales - Book Two

In this second book of Reader's Theaters for small groups, I have placed 7 scripts. They are: Sleeping Homely, The Princess and the Pizza for 3 people, The Princess and the Pizza for 4, Peter Pants and Captain Looks, Beauty & the Beets (and the Turnips and the Onions), Romeo and Juliet, Hansel and Pretzel. I realize that Peter Pants and Captain Looks as well as Romeo and Juliet are not strictly fairy tales but they are very well known and fun for the students. You can buy each of these individually for $2.50 OR you can buy all 7 for $10. The preview will show you how many students are in each play as well as a page of the script.

All plays are written for 3 - 5 students because I find that an ideal number for small groups and centers. I use reader's theaters to encourage my students to practice fluency. It is a fun way to do something that they need. My scripts are in black and white with only the occasional color picture on front so they are easier and cheaper to photo copy. The problem with many other reader's theaters is that students spend a lot of time waiting for their part. When you have a small group they get more practice in and less off task behaviors take place.
