What educators are saying
Description
These social emotional learning (SEL) "I Can" statement keep both faculty and students aware of skills to focus on.
⭐The mini-posters are helpful visual reminders to adults of what skills to be embedding in their work with students (in academic instruction, in the cafeteria, everywhere!) and to students of what they can and should be doing.
⭐The skills lists are useful to counselors, social workers, deans, and other support team facilitators when discussing how individual students are progressing socially and emotionally, as well as which skills the school as a whole are areas of reinforcement and refinement.
Three skills for each competency are given for the following grade clusters: Early Elementary, Middle Elementary, and Late Elementary. This resource includes the 45 statements on mini-posters in blackline and full color and “I Can” skills/standards lists by grade cluster and by CASEL competency.

*Statements were created with Austin, Anchorage, Illinois, and Metro Nashville’s standards lists in mind but are not solely aligned to any of these. Everything is written in developmentally appropriate (kid friendly) language – they are the ones we serve and if we want them empowered to grow socially and emotionally, we should be using this language with them!
