Description

Spring is a super busy time in the classroom! Use this spring themed figurative language activity to have some seasonal fun while reviewing key content.

This center covers the following literary devices/figurative language:

  • Simile
  • Metaphor
  • Personification
  • Hyperbole

The students match the petals with the flower center that names the type of figurative language described or used on the petals.

Color and black and white versions are provided. Recording sheets and an answer key is also included.

About the Digital Version

A digital version of the sort is also included. It has the same content as the printable version, but has been redesigned to work in Google Slides. For digital access, go to page 3 of the PDF.

Use this activity for review, practice, as an early finisher activity, in a Literacy Center or RTI for struggling students.
