    State and Local Government Unit 

    In the State and Local Government Unit, students will learn about the organization of state and local governments, their own state constitution, the differences between cities, counties, states, townships, and municipalities, and students will complete a hands-on project that profiles their own unique community. In this project students will research the demographics of their area, interview citizens, attend a community meeting, and perform a community service.
