What educators are saying

Our students loved the reflections that were used when we prayed the stations of the cross. They took their booklets home to color and pray with their families.
Great teaching resource for the Stations of the Cross. Kids were proud of their booklets, when completed!

Description

This packet contains five versions of the Stations of the Cross booklets for children of a variety of ages and abilities. Read on to learn more about the five versions contained in this packet. (Make sure to check out the preview document as well!)

Purchasing this gives you the license to use it with one family, one co-op class, or in one single classroom. (Please purchase additional copies for each additional class it will be used with. If you purchase two additional licenses on top of the original copy, you may use this for one whole school, one religious education program, or one parish/church. This should come out to a total of $12.50.)

This packet includes pages that would be age-appropriate for children in preschool through upper elementary school and even middle school. (Check the preview to judge for yourself.) It is possible that it may be appropriate for some high school students as well, although the reflections and prayers were written with elementary and middle school-aged children in mind.

Stations of the Cross for Kids: 5 Booklets (Coloring, Reflections, and Prayers) (75 pages):

★ Terms of Use Page

Four pages to make the Stations of the Cross Small Booklet - Each page contains four booklet pages. There is a cover that can be colored, as well as one page for each of the 14 Stations of the Cross. Each of those pages has a picture that can be colored and includes the number of the station and the title of what happens in that station.

★ Title pages between booklet options

15 pages to make the Stations of the Cross Large Booklet - There is a cover and one full page for each of the Stations of the Cross.

Each Station of the Cross page has:

- an area that could be colored in (but it looks nice not colored in as well)

- the number and name of that station

- a short reflection on what happens in that station

- ways to apply that to things happening in the world and their community as well as possibly in their family

- things they could pray about based on the reflection

- questions to help them form ideas of how to take their prayers and act on them

- a blank area at the bottom of each page to write or draw based on those prayers into actions questions

15 pages to make the Stations of the Cross Paper Bag Booklet - Each page has either two of the pages of the booklet or two of the reflection cards. This is all the same content as the large booklet above. However, the formatting of the material is different to make it possible to make the paper bag booklet.

Note: If you want students to write or draw their own reflections, in this version of the project they will do so on the blank side of the reflection cards.

5 pages of instructions with pictures and step-by-step instructions on how to make/assemble the Stations of the Cross Paper Bag Booklet.

15 pages to make the Stations of the Cross Full-Sized Page Booklet with Larger Coloring Area, Reflections, and Prayers - This is just like the Large Booklet but instead of a writing/drawing area for reflections, the graphic for coloring is much larger.

Each Station of the Cross page in this version has:

- an area that could be colored in (but it's larger than any other version that includes the reflections and prayers)

- the number and name of that station

- a short reflection on what happens in that station

- ways to apply that to things happening in the world and their community as well as possible in their family

- things they could pray about based on the reflection

- questions to help them form ideas of how to take their prayers and act on them

- note: there is no open area for writing their own reflections or plans (although they can use the back of the page)

15 pages to make the Stations of the Cross Full-Sized Page Coloring Pages - This is just like the mini book, but it is full-sized pages with large coloring areas.

Each Station of the Cross page in this version has:

- an area that could be colored in (but it's larger than any other version in this bundle)

- the number and name of that station

Please note: If you are only interested in the small Stations of the Cross Booklet Mini Booklet with no prayers and reflections, there is a separate listing for only that booklet.
