Entice your students as you launch your study of A Streetcar Named Desire, Tennessee Williams’ classic American play focusing on the power struggle between Stanley Kowalski and Blanche DuBois. This introductory 23-slide lecture explores the troubled life of Tennessee Williams, the themes and characters of the play, and a background on the psychological teachings of Sigmund Freud, whose id/ego/superego symbolically connect to our three main characters.
