⭐⭐⭐ Why Do Student Data Folders and Growth Mindset Activities Go Together? ⭐⭐⭐

Before students can begin meaningful goal setting and data tracking, they need to know the WHY.

•How will this benefit them and help them grow?
•How does its relate to developing a growth mindset?

The answers are very simple and can be found within the resources in this bundle. Students will first complete an introductory assessment to determine whether they have a fixed or growth mindset. After the assessment, students will learn more about growth mindset and the ways that you can develop and strengthen it.

Students will then complete a Growth Mindset research project and create a banner that includes their action plan for this school year in your class. This will allow students to get comfortable with goal setting and developing action plans in their student data folders.

After completing these two activities, students will have the background knowledge on growth mindset and be ready to begin setting goals for themselves in your class throughout the year. The student data folders contain a variety of goal options for teachers to select. Whether you use the paper or digital version of the data folders, they allow student goals, data tracking sheets, and self-reflections to be stored in one place for easy access and to show the progression of each student's growth during the year.

In order to continue fostering a growth mindset, there are 50 weekly writing prompts included in the student data folders that require students to reflect on a quote and create a written response.
