Syllable Division Decodable Passages Science of Reading Fluency & Comprehension

These syllable division decodable passages are a perfect complement to your Orton-Gillingham lessons. Students apply the syllable division rules by reading connected text and building their reading fluency skills.

Each decodable passage highlights a specific syllable division rule. These texts are flexible and contain words with phonograms and skills that have been introduced in The Multisensory Classroom Scope and Sequence up to the point where each syllable division rule is introduced. They also include some more advanced words, but the difficulty level was carefully assessed to be in line with any reading program where these syllable division rules would normally be covered.

All products in The Multisensory Classroom are designed to follow Orton Gillingham-based instruction and are derived from my Orton Gillingham Academy accredited training and my doctoral dissertation research implementing Orton Gillingham in the classroom.
