Description

Do your upper elementary students have a basic understanding of synonyms and antonyms? Are you ready to challenge them with more advanced vocabulary terms? Continue building your students' understanding of synonyms and antonyms with this set of four worksheets that focus on synonyms and antonyms. All answer keys are included. This packet of word study worksheets is all ready to go for you. Just print and proceed!

This worksheet packet targets the following vocabulary skills:

⭐️ Synonym and Antonym Word List: Students are given 2 lists of 21 words. Students need to generate synonyms for one list and antonyms for the other list.

⭐️ Synonym and Antonym Analogies: Students must determine whether the first two words in each sentence are synonyms or antonyms. Then, students look at the third word in order to correctly complete the analogy.

⭐️ Synonym and Antonym Multiple Choice: 10 items Students are provided with a phrase or a sentence, and are asked to identify the synonym or antonym (from 4 choices).

⭐️ Synonym and Antonym Multiple Choice: 10 items This follows the same format as the worksheet mentioned above. (I use this as my synonym and antonym assessment.)

********This resource is available in TWO FORMATS:

  1. TRADITIONAL PRINTABLES- Print the PDF and distribute paper copies to your students to complete.
  2. TPT EASEL ACTIVITY- I created a new, colorful version for this digital format. Students can complete this activity on a device. Students read the directions and then complete the worksheet. Some of the worksheets have a fill-in-the-blank format where students type their answer into the text box. The final two worksheets have a multiple-choice format, and students move the circle to select their answer.
