    Description

This systems of equations mini-bundle includes a systems of equations sorting activity, a set of word problem task cards and a systems pennant to decorate your classroom with student work. You can read more about each included resource in the descriptions below.

Systems of Equations WORD PROBLEMS - print and digital

*Now includes editable GOOGLE Form version.

Systems of equations word problems. Students work through 10 systems of equations word problem task cards in this activity. All systems can be solved with elimination (one or both equations may need multiplication first).

Also included is one bonus card that asks students to find the solution to a system of three equations in 3 variables. Students can check their own work with optional QR codes on all task cards. QR codes work great when task cards are given as quiz review or as a quick teacher check while walking around the classroom. Also included are a student answer sheet and an answer key.

Systems of Equations Sorting Activity - print and digital

Students identify solutions to given systems of equations when the data is presented in tables, graphs, sets of coordinate pairs and pairs of equations. In the printable version, students sort their systems into 6 solution categories on 2 sheets of paper. This is a great activity for a review day or to check for student understanding during your systems unit.

Now also included is a digital GOOGLE Slides version for students working online. Students sort the digital cutouts into the solution categories that span 2 slides. This way, students do not have to move any pieces from one slide to another.

Graphing Systems of Equations Math Pennant

of systems of equations on each of 20 pennants. There are 2 sets of pennants in this download: 20 with QR codes for easy checking and 20 without. Once a pennant is complete, it can be hung along a string in your classroom to show the world that, "Hey, we know systems of equations!"

Included are 20 pennants with QR codes, 20 without QR codes and 1 title pennant. Also included are 2 versions of an answer sheet (one where students just record solutions, another where they graph and write the equations) and answer keys. Each group of students can be given a set of pennants, scissors and either glue, tape or a stapler. Students can be in charge of cutting out the pennants. Groups can compete to see which group can complete the most pennants or your entire class can add pennants to one string as they complete each one. You may also choose to have your students color their pennants to add to your classroom decor.
