Description

This is a set of place value activities focusing on tens and ones (2-digit numbers). They are super easy for kids to learn and can be played alone, with a partner, or in a small group.

Place Value Concentration

Students take turns trying to match two-digit numbers with the place value block model, number word, and expanded form. Includes two different sets of cards (24 in each set)

Place Value Dominoes

Students line up the dominoes in the correct order by matching numbers with the corresponding word, expanded form, or base-ten block model. Includes two different sets (16 dominoes in each set).

Place Value Mat

This can be laminated and used with base ten blocks when having students build two-digit numbers.

Expanded Form Mat

This mat is useful when teaching students how a two-digit number is the sum of its tens and ones. Laminate and use with dry erase markers.

These activities are a simple, hands-on way for students to explore tens and ones and understand the value of digits in a number.

The place value mat and expanded form mat are also provided in digital format through Easel. They include moveable manipulatives.
