Task Cards: Transformations of Linear Functions

Included in this set are 32 cards containing problems over transformations of linear functions. Students are either given the transformation in function notation, or given the graph, and they must describe the changes. I have also included a tips page, where I have suggestions for students, teachers, and a word bank I suggest be posted on the board.

This corresponds to (Texas) Algebra 1 TEK: A.3E - determine the effects on the parent function f(x)=x.

Questions and representations are printed on the front of the cards, and answers are printed on the back, so you may choose how you would like to use the cards.

Task cards are a great way to get your kiddos up and moving around! You can also use them for early finishers, or to differentiate for your students. You can copy them with or without the answers on the back. Its all up to you!
