    Description

Dollar Bill Diaries introduces children to money. There are 6 books in total, 5 of which have plots centered around one of the Nest EGGSS for life: Earnings, Giving, Growing, Savings, and Spending.

    1. Meet Dollar Bill introduces and discusses money in a way that a child can understand. Several scenarios are presented to show the various ways money is used. In the end, the reader is invited to choose one of the 5 character books to explore.
    2. Earl the Earner follows a child who wants to start making some money of his own. He comes up with different things he can do to add cash to his Earnings Egg. Earl does some of his jobs good, but he also makes some mistakes. See if Earl can help you come up with ways to start making your own money. Also, try to help Earl keep track of all the money he earns.
    3. Griff the Giver shows how a charitable character does good things with his Giving Egg. Griff finds thoughtful and fun ways to share his money with other people. He does good deeds in his community and even gives to his friends. Let Griff show you some ways to share your wealth too. Sometimes it just feels good to give.
    4. Gail the Grower is all about a young girl who wants the money in her Growing Egg to multiply. Her goal is to double or possibly triple the cash over the years. Gail will put you on the right path to make smart saving and investing decisions. Growing money is a long run, not a short walk. In other words, it takes a lot of time and patience. Do you think Gail will be able to wait for her money to grow or will she make some early withdrawals?
    5. Sally the Saver follows a savvy little kid who knows the value of a dollar. Sally puts money in her Savings Egg and sets a goal when she finds something she really wants to buy. There are times when she gets off track, but she does her best to get over her mistakes and reach her goal. Find out if Sally does what she sets out to do or not.
    6. Spence the Spender takes you on a rollercoaster ride of highs and lows that happen when he starts spending money. Spence uses the money in his Spending Egg on all kinds of things – some he does not even want or need. Pay close attention to Spence and try to help him decide if he is making smart choices or not.
