Description
The Million Dollar Project is a fun, two week long project to share with your students as they work remotely. It has students practice "real life" math skills to improve their financial literacy. This project works well in the middle grades, but can be adapted in many ways to meet the needs of many learners.
While I used this project specifically for remote learning with my grade 6 class, it can also be used in the classroom setting or while homeschooling. This project also meets many specific expectations for the Financial Literacy strand in the new Ontario math curriculum (2020).
