Description

Greetings,

Drew Hayden Taylor’s novel, The Night Wanderer, explores rich themes (redemption, identity, family) and relevant issues (racism, bullying, suicide) as it combines a bumpy coming-of-age story with a Native Gothic tale. The story revolves around sixteen-year old Tiffany Hunter, her father and grandmother, and the mysterious Pierre L’Errant. Something is odd and dangerous about their nocturnal lodger, and don’t get a paper cut flipping the pages.

This 155-page resource covers all four strands: reading, writing, oral, and media. It develops your students’ critical thinking and creative communication through a Student Workbook and the Seminar Process. It also saves you time and energy that can then assist you to do what teachers do best – explore, engage, enrich.

Students have multiple ways to increase and showcase their learning.

* Complete the Student Workbook (11-38),

* Actively engage in the Seminar Process (39-79), and

* Complete some other form or forms of assessment and evaluation: Multiple Choice, Agree or Disagree -- Explain, and Essay (80-111).

As Pierre would say, “It’s all interesting.”
