Description

The COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences, such as loss of work, lockdowns, loneliness, depression, illness, death, mourning, etc., can make us search for comfort and meaning in life.

Are we coping?

Are we helping?

Helping others has been shown to help ourselves.

Studies have linked helping others to the release of dopamine, a chemical messenger in the brain.

Furthermore, we can boost our levels of oxytocin and serotonin, a neurotransmitter that helps regulate our mood.

Who doesn't enjoy a little shot of dopamine, oxytocin and serotonin?

This information page is a collection of existentialist comments and concepts which may be used to build our emotional resilience in a supportive way, to assist various aspects of ours and others' working, studying and personal lives.

For example, some phrases would be suitable for writing an essay on human experiences, characterisation in your narrative, or analysing composer purpose.
