What educators are saying

I LOVE this Function Transformation cheat sheet!!! This was exactly what I had in mind when I started looking online for something to use in class.
Absolutely love this. For those students that need a good reference/concept map, this is a wonderful tool for them to use to start learning the way an equation shows a transformation from a parent function.

Description

Help your students recognize patterns in functions with this reference sheet. This document includes a notated transformed function in general form, a list of questions to guide students through the process, an order of transformations, and graphs of the non-trigonometric parent functions (Quadratic, Cubic, Exponential, Reciprocal, Square Root, Cube Root, Logarithmic, and Absolute Value) with important points marked.

The document can be printed in color or black/white. Domains and Ranges for parent functions can be filled in by students as notes or can be printed.

The full color PDF can also be blown up as a poster.
