Treasure Island Comprehensive Teaching Unit

A Literature Unit on making inferences and forming opinions. The unit contains Common Core Curriculum Standards for Reading, Literature, and Writing. There are also occasional highlights suggesting possible connections for History, Social Studies, and Math, as well as several fun hands-on enrichment activities. I don’t suggest using every resources provided for every lesson, but a judicious selection will bring the story to life for you and your students as they make connections and identify with the Treasure Island characters. Better yet, if you plan to teach this unit year after year, there are enough choices available to keep the unit fresh and fun for you as well. Also, this unit is very SUB FRIENDLY. Included: bulletin board suggestions, chapter tests, answer key, reproducible templates, and much more.
