Description
Integrate first grade math and art to reinforce concepts in a fun and engaging way! Practice and solidify core math concepts with this adorable turtle clock math craft! My students LOVE learning math through art activities, and my classroom is always bright and colorful as we display our projects.
- This simple project integrates math and art together to create a super cute turtle clock! The head of the turtle is on 12, and the tail is on 6, which helps younger students remember those two important numbers for telling time to the hour and half hour. It includes hands that move when attached with a metal fastener, along with several different kinds of clocks, depending on the skill you are teaching.
- All the templates are included, so all you have to do is print them out for each student. There are simple clocks with the hour numbers, and also clocks that include the minute numbers (ie: :05, :10, :15). There is also a version with flaps to open to reveal the minute numbers behind the hour numbers. (pictured on the cover)
- The clocks are included in both color and black/white for students to color. Printing them on thicker paper is recommended for durability.
- The coloring, cutting, gluing and problem solving makes it a perfect hands-on activity.
- There are several printables included ( where students draw hands on the clocks to match the digital time below) to reinforce learning, review, or to assess understanding of how to tell time. Blank version included.
- These cute clocks make an awesome classroom or hallway display!
