What educators are saying

I use this game sort every single year! I made it into a folder game set and used it for station rotations and I've kept it up all year long for kids to play. Seriously one of the best resources I've ever bought and used consistently!
Great resource! My students liked it and I liked it! Just be mindful about copying in color. I had to print at home because I don't have a colored printer at school. It gets a little difficult to determine which map it which when printing in black and white. Thank you for the awesome resource! :)

Description

Put a hands on twist on a typical and sometimes "boring" social studies topic. Resource can be used in multiple ways. Students can work independently, in partnerships, or small groups.

Foldable (picture example included):

Students create a foldable insert for their social studies interactive notebook using colorful construction paper, and given information which includes map title, picture, and definition.

Sort Activity:

Great for partners and center work. Students cut and sort cards to match the correct map type to it's definition and picture. A sort mat has also been included for students to glue the cards in the correct order. Included extension question which requires students to compare two types of maps. Makes for a great, hands-on grade!

Types of maps included are physical, political, contour, elevation, land use/resource, and climate maps.
