    Description

This U.S. History Bundle contains 7 of my movie guides fora reduced price! All of these movie guides are available for individual sale but you receive a discounted price by purchasing them in this bundle. I have listed each of the movies and a link to them on my site.

Iron Jawed Angels Movie Guide This 2004 film is a great way to help students look at women's suffrage and their fight for the 19th Amendment. It follows the story of Alice Paul and Lucy Burns as they strive for democracy and equality during World War I. The movie guide contains 40 questions to ensure students are tracking along with the film. There are a couple of scenes that I edit out. Please see the my Iron Jawed Angels page for those times.

Red Tails Movie Guide George Lucas' film, Red Tails, is an action packed look at the heroic efforts of the Tuskegee Airmen during World War II. These men were a part of the 332nd Fighter Group and fought with bravery for a country that still discriminated against them. The movie guide contains 50 questions to assure the students stay on task for the film.

42 Movie Guide Jackie Robinson became the first African American to play Major League Baseball. He faced many battles on and off the field with segregation, racism, and Jim Crow laws. This movie, 42, is a great resource to use when studying African American History and looking at some of the issues minorities faced. My movie guide contains 50 questions and an answer key is provided for your convenience.

Thirteen Days Movie Guide October of 1962 was marked by the Cuban Missile Crisis. Over the span of 13 days, President Kennedy and his men had to determine the best course of action. This movie guide includes 65 questions. I included so many questions because the film is longer and I wanted to have a lesson that would keep my students on track throughout the film. There are some questions after the film, including a political cartoon, for the students to analyze.

Loving Movie Guide The film, Loving, is a great film to use when discussing the Supreme Court, the Constitution, and/or civil rights. This could also be a great addition to Black History Month. Loving v. Virginia (1967) made the prohibition of marriage based on race unconstitutional. Their love and their fight against an unjust system lifted the ban on interracial marriage. My movie guide contains 50 questions and an answer key has been provided for your convenience.

The Post Movie Guide The real life story of The Post looks at the government cover-up that spanned four U.S. Presidents. Kay Graham (Meryl Streep) was the country's first female newspaper publisher. Follow her and her editor (Tom Hanks) as they fight the government for their 1st Amendment rights. This is a great film to look at when discussing the Vietnam War, Pentagon Papers, freedom of the press, or The Nixon Administration. There are 50 questions and an answer key is included.

12 Strong Movie Guide 12 Strong (2018) tells the story of the first Special Forces team deployed to Afghanistan after the attacks on September 11th, 2001. The film is based off of the book, Horse Soldiers. This is a great film to use during your 21st Century Unit, War on Terror, or if you have a unit on Terrorism. This is a film I will use at the end of the year with my U.S. History class. My worksheet includes 40 questions and I have provided the answer key. Please note that this film is Rated R.

More information regarding the movie guides, MPAA rating, and cast can be found on my links for each guide.
