How did Valentine's Day begin? How do other countries celebrate Valentine's Day? Students will read two original articles all about this! Then they will analyze it using close reading skills. They will compare and contrast using a double bubble map or Venn diagram, fill out two column notes, and finally write an essay. There is also a summary assignment- The Gossip Gazette, and a COOTIE CATCHER! Included is both black and white and color, so they can color their cootie catcher if you want.
