This Pop Art Gift Box project is such a fun Valentine's Day craft activity for your February classroom.
Students get to decorate, construct, fill and take home a beautiful keepsake gift box with some special surprise gifts and messages inside!
This Valentine's Day activity can also be used for Mother's Day, or at any time of the year as a Pop Art-themed activity.

Valentine's Day craft activity contents:
- A fact sheet about the Pop Art Movement
- Blank box template to decorate with Pop Art-inspired hearts and shapes
- Or choose the box template with shapes, ready to color
- Choose from a variety of templates to fill the box with lovely messages and surprises for the chosen recipient!
- Mini cards and envelopes to make
- Yarn-wrapped stars and hearts with cute message tags
This activity requires only basic materials and equipment:
• Card stock / heavyweight paper to print box templates
• Marker pens or colored pencils to decorate the box
• Scissors and glue
• Yarn for a cute gift to put inside (optional)
The packet includes instructions and a selection of color photographs, showing clear examples.
Gift Box Dimensions:
In response to feedback, there are now 2 paper size options for the box template which is designed to print out on one page.
1. Template to print on US Letter / A4, each box side measures 2.5 x 2.5 inches
2. Template to print on 11X14 / A3, each box side measures 3.1 x 3.1 inches
