What educators are saying

This was so fun to have students complete. They loved the challenge and seeing their finished product on the wall.
This was a fun way for my girls to learn and practice using a coordinate plane. We love holiday themed math for the few days before a holiday and this was perfect!

Description

This Valentine's Day Math Coordinate Graphing Bundle includes the following mystery images:

These activities provide students with practice graphing in all four quadrants on the coordinate plane. Coordinates include positive and negative, whole and half numbers (example (6, -2.5)). Please note: There are a lot of coordinates that include 0.5! It's great for "early finishers" or can be used as an extra credit assignment. Perfect for Valentine’s Day/ the month of February!

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Understand a rational number as a point on the number line. Extend number line diagrams and coordinate axes familiar from previous grades to represent points on the line and in the plane with negative number coordinates.
Find and position integers and other rational numbers on a horizontal or vertical number line diagram; find and position pairs of integers and other rational numbers on a coordinate plane.
Solve real-world and mathematical problems by graphing points in all four quadrants of the coordinate plane. Include use of coordinates and absolute value to find distances between points with the same first coordinate or the same second coordinate.
