Description

This Valentine's Day math resource includes a Valentine’s Day Shop list with prices in decimal amounts and 32 task cards to accompany the price list.

The students will use the Valentine’s Day Shop list to complete the task cards.

The task cards have four different question types:
1. The students must read and answer a word problem using the shop list.
2. The students must calculate a total order.
3. The students must determine which will be more expensive or cheaper from two choices.
4. The students must find two items that equal a given amount.

I have also included a printable for the students to take their classmates’ orders. Answer keys and recording sheets are also included.

I have also included a modified, whole number-only shopping list. However, this version does not come with answer keys. This version also only works with task cards 1-28.

This fun Valentine's Day math activity is perfect for math centers the weeks leading up to and the week of Valentine's Day.
