Vivid Verbs PowerPoint w/ video clips, worksheet, and extension activity

Your students will LOVE this "eerie" PowerPoint (with video clips) and worksheet that encourages students to be creative and vivid in their writing. It will encourage them to "bury" those dead and boring words and find new words! This outlines the following:
-Parts of the writing process (brainstorming/drafting)
-Verbs
-Boring, overused verbs
-Using a Thesaurus and how to find more exciting verbs
-How NOT to use a Thesaurus

This adorable 13-slide PowerPoint includes video clips (only 1 is BrainPop...so if you don't have access, just skip that slide,) a 5 question quiz, and an extension activity. A separate worksheet and answer key is also included. The extension activity has students create a "dead words" funeral. (Videos are from YouTube and BrainPop...make sure you have access.)
