What educators are saying

This was an amazing resource for our Social Responsibly unit. They were so engaged, and organized in their thinking thanks to this resource.
This was so much fun! It tied really well into our curriculum lessons about how 'we can protect the earths four systems.' This was a fun way to show to students that trash can still be utilized in fun ways.

Description

Want to make your Waste and Our World Science unit more fun? This Project Based Learning activity will allow your students to explore the concepts of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. This Science PBL is perfect as a unit review activity, as a fun activity before winter break, or even as an Earth Day celebration.

Through inquiry, students will create individualized treasures out of trash and other recycled materials. They will also create presentations to teach their peers about a consumer product that indicates the source materials, final product, its use and method of disposal.

This is a fabulous project to get your students used to working as team members and thinking outside of the box!

The great thing about project-based learning is that it allows you to teach objectives from many different subject areas at once! This project incorporates Science, Art and English Language Arts into one AMAZING experience for students.

This Waste in our World project is very student-directed and allows for a lot of voice and choice! A great project for Earth Day or even for the end of the year!
