This bundle contains five resources that will make your life easier while you teach Wonder.
22 Journal Prompts Description:
Get a quick assessment of your students' comprehension and allow your students to personally reflect upon the story's events.
These prompts will require your students to use important reading skills such as characterization, summarizing, cause and effect, vocabulary strategies, and personal reflection.
You will receive 22 writing prompts, and each prompts covers between 4-7 chapters. Simply print the pages and your students can use the provided lined space below each question to answer. Plenty of space is provided for your students to give detailed answers. Or just display the prompt on a projector and have students respond on separate paper. Each page is clearly labeled with which chapters the question covers.
An answer key is not included for the journal prompts, as most of them are open-ended questions.

22 Quizzes Description:
Assess your students' comprehension of Wonder by R.J. Palacio as they read through the book with these 22 quizzes.
Each quiz contains one short-response and three multiple-choice, higher-order-thinking questions about 4 to 6 chapters.
NEW! The quizzes now have 10 more questions that can be given after students finish the story! This end-of-book quiz includes 8 multiple-choice questions and 2 written-response questions.
The questions assess many CCSS-ELA standards and elements of fiction, including vocabulary, cause and effect, main idea, summarizing, character analysis, sequence of events, story details, comparing and contrasting, problem/resolution, and much more.
Questions and answers are written in a way similar to what students may see on a standardized test, while not being too confusing.
An answer key is included for the quizzes.

Interactive Notebook Vocabulary Activities Description:
Use this interactive vocabulary activity to help your students understand, and be able to use, key vocabulary from R.J. Palacio's "Wonder." Students will cut out vocabulary words and glue them in their notebook for each of the book's eight parts. Then they will attach the correct definition and sentence with each word. This is a very helpful, interactive way for students to practice the vocabulary, too. Directions and answer key are included.

10 Character Analysis Activities Description:
Extend your students' thinking of the characters in Wonder with these character analysis activities. Each page is about one of the ten main characters in the story (August, Via, Julian, Jack, Summer, Mr. Tushman, Miranda, August's mom, August's dad, and Justin). Each activity will require your students to think about the story's events from that character's point of view.
An answer key is not included for the character analysis pages, as most of them include open-ended questions.

22 Cloze Reading Activities Description:
This file contains a cloze reading activity for every 4-6 chapters of Wonder by R.J. Palacio. Each page contains a summary of the chapters, with missing words for students to fill in. Students select the missing words from a word bank at the bottom of each page. This requires students to use their knowledge of the story, plus context clues, to be able to fill in the blanks with the correct word. An answer key is included for the cloze reading activities.
