    Description

This bundle is a great option for Global Studies or World Geography teachers! You may not be able to show all of the films in one school year, but you would readily have access to assignments that go with each of films. The films could be spread over multiple school years, they could be shown in different courses or sections, or students could watch clips. All of these films will keep students interested and each film resource includes a movie guide and/or rigorous assignment.

I have many other movie guides-please contact me for a custom bundle at a discounted price!

There are images of what each product looks like with the individual product’s preview. Here is an overview of what is included.

World Trade Center-70 question movie guide, handout, and worksheet. This film addresses the human geography today’s current issue of global terrorism.

The 15:17 to Paris-45 question movie guide and worksheet. This film also addresses the global issue of terrorism. Directed by Clint Eastwood, the real-life heroes who intervened in the tragedy star in the film.

The Ghost and the Darkness-25 question movie guide/assessment worksheet. This is an older film-but one of value as most students have not seen it. The film shows the colonization of Africa and students are familiarized with East Africa’s physical geography and wildlife.

Hotel Rwanda-35 question movie guide and handout. My students always love this film and they learn so much about the tragic story of the 1994 Rwandan genocide.

Seven Years in Tibet-30 question movie guide/assessment worksheet and handout. This film teaches student so much about the physical and human geography of Tibet, along with shedding light on the conflict between Tibet and China. It is also one few student have seen before.

The Impossible-20 question movie guide, 19 question worksheet with handout. This is a graphic portrayal of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami and the true story of one family’s experience. Students must be prepped for this film-and it should have been reviewed-as parts are difficult to watch.

Thirteen Lives-Thirteen Lives dramatizes the real-life Tham Luang cave-rescue mission from the summer of 2018, when a dozen Thai soccer players, aged between 11 and 16, and their coach were trapped in a flooded, terrifyingly elaborate cave system. The film was released on Amazon Prime in August of 2022. It is directed by Ron Howard and stars Viggo Mortensen, Colin Farrell, Joel Edgerton, and Tom Bateman. This movie guide has 50 total questions. The first 45 go in order of the film and the final 5 questions are reflection questions to complete at the end of the film. An answer key is included. This is such a breathlessly amazing story, the film is suspenseful and well-produced, and critics are giving props to Ron Howard for many aspects of the film being close to accurate in regards to the real-life story.
