How is this social studies escape room different?

✅ Students do not have to solve the challenges in a specific order.

✅ Students do not have to solve all of the challenges to be successful!

✅ You do not need actual lockboxes or locks! There is a self-checking digital option included that is easy to assign to students.

✅ Multiple clue cards for each challenge is included so you can pass these out to students if they are stuck. These clue cards help guide students to the solution without solving it for them.

✅ You can reduce the number of challenges students solve to differentiate (and you can also assign specific challenges because students do not need to solve the challenges in a specific order). This allows you to customize this social studies escape room based on your unique classroom needs!

What materials do you need?

✅ There are directions included for 3 options you can use for this social studies escape room. You do NOT have to buy locks and boxes if you don't want to! I have included directions and suggested items if you do want to use locks and boxes. The easiest and cheapest option is to use a manila folder for each challenge (all directions provided). If you don't want to print student recording pages, you can use the digital lock self-checking Google Form option (directions provided).

✅ For all options, you will need the following materials (besides the printed materials included in this resource): Manila folders & small mirrors or students can use an cell phone or tablet (no internet is necessary)
