Description

**Now part of our complete WWI UNIT BUNDLE**

Introducing our lesson on the Espionage and Sedition Acts. This lesson, part of a larger unit on World War I, focuses on the Constitutionality of the Espionage and Sedition Acts, which were signed into law by Woodrow Wilson with the aim of squashing wartime dissent.

Students will read and analyze primary source excerpts from both to the acts and answer open ended questions that follow. Lastly, students will read the First Amendment of the Constitution and determine for themselves whether the Acts violated the Constitution by completing an extended response prompt. To help guide your students on the path to achieving this objective a full lesson plan has been included.
