What educators are saying

I used this with my on-level students as a final project for the year. The URL of the site has changed, so you will have to Google (unless it's been updated since I last looked), but my students found it very interesting.

Description

World War Two: Final Project - Tracing Their Stories

In this World War Two final project, students will make use of the memoryproject.com listening to real interviews with WWII veterans and create a historical portfolio with original work. Students are asked to choose three veterans from across Canada and must select at least one woman to study for their portfolio. They will then research key events experienced by their veterans and create a scrapbook, artifact, interview and historical abstract. A highly engaging activity, this project asks students to use Historical Thinking Skills to demonstrate their knowledge. A full project outline is included as is a marking rubric and exemplars.
