Every year I struggle to find Kinder friendly resources for Expository Writing. So I developed this set to help my beginning reader's start the Research Writing Process. This set includes articles that are very easy for beginning readers. They also include small images to help support students in their reading.
The articles can be easily transferred to the Zoo Animals Research Writing Page, then to the actual book pages.
My student's really enjoyed working on their books, and were so proud of their finished product! We had an Author's Night to display and celebrate their published writing. I laminated the Book Cover and applied a card stock page on the back and bound the books for a finished look.
These articles are great to put at your Science or Library Stations. You can also create a class library of Expository Books using the student books.
This is also a great set to put in your Writing Station during your Expository/ Non Fiction Writing Unit.
This set really helped build confidence in my students and gave them a sense of accomplishment! I know it can do the same for your students.

USING DIGITAL PRODUCTS WITH GOOGLE 1. You will need a Google account in order to use this product. If you do not have one you can sign up for one here. 2. Click the Product Link below for your Digital Product. 3. The product will prompt you to Make A Copy, rename the product and save to your Google Drive. 4. You will have to engage most digital products in EDIT MODE. **NOTE (If your product is interactive, you will not be able to move pieces in PRESENTATION/ FULL SCREEN MODE.) 5. In order to use on an iPad, download the Google Slides app for FREE, and follow the login directions. 6. Have each student Make A Copy and Save before they complete the activity assigned. - Some files MAY contain Tabloid Sized (11x17) layouts.
- If you do not have a tabloid sized printer you can print professionally at Office Depot, Kinko's, Staples, or a local print shop.
