i-Ready Diagnostics Goal Setting - Student Data Chat Sheets (EDITABLE)

Sit down with your students to set goals for them with upcoming i-Ready diagnostic tests! Students become more motivated and more aware of their scores and their meaning when they set goals for themselves.

I choose to sit down with my 5th graders at the beginning (BOY), middle (MOY), and end of the school year (EOY) to help them track their progress. We look at how they preformed the previous school year and aim to acheive their "typical" growth score as identified by i-Ready by the end of the year. Students also check which strategies they will use in order to obtain their goal. Then, they have their goal next to them as they take their test and can immediately see if they reached their goal. Once their scores are written down, they have some time to reflect on how they did. I tell them that any growth whatsoever is still growth! Students become very proud of themselves once they see that their hard work has paid off!
