TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hi! I am Daniela from MathTexas :)

After earning my degree in mathematics, I began my career by teaching high-risk students at an urban high school in San Antonio, Texas. Currently, I hold the position of a math support specialist, where I am responsible for creating customized math resources for middle school students. In this role, I collaborate closely with teachers to design student-centered learning experiences that align with the TEKS.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My mission is to create engaging TEKS-aligned math resources so you can focus on your students instead of the STAAR test. Over the years, I have dedicated myself to the in-depth study of the vertical and horizontal alignment of Math TEKS and have analyzed every single released test question to design resources that prepare students for success.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Initially, I didn't consider myself a math person until an exceptional professor helped me discover the beauty of mathematics. My passion for the subject motivated me to work hard, as a result, I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I continue to study math and hone my craft as a curriculum writer. My goal is to inspire students to discover a love of mathematics.
